Individual Beginners Course
(Includes a years membership)
The theory part of the course will be carried out online using Microsoft Teams (similar to ZOOM) and will be held on consecutive Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm, starting on 31st March 2022
Each theory session will be followed on the Sunday following by a practical session at our apiary in Bryngarw Country Park, starting at 10.00 a.m and finishing around 12 a.m
Before the start of the course proper, there will be on online session on Thursday 10th February, when participants will be advised on when, where and how to purchase bees and hives (as bees need to be ordered early in the year). This will be followed by a practical demonstration of hive construction on the following Sunday
The course will be presented by experienced and qualified beekeepers, and there will be ample opportunities for questions and discussion. Participants will be provided with a book to accompany the course, The Hayne’s Bee Manual.
